Ordering & Quantity – MOQ and Ordering Process

Ordering is often the first concern—especially for first-time custom projects. MOQ, ordering methods, and the customization workflow are key decision factors. Here are the most commonly asked questions about ordering.

MOQ

What is the minimum order quantity?

Our typical MOQ starts at 100 pieces, but it can vary depending on size, flute/material, and printing method. If you need a small batch, contact us and our team will evaluate the best option for your needs. Larger quantities usually mean a lower unit price—ask about volume discounts for more competitive pricing.

Ordering

How do I place an order for custom cartons?

You can order by calling +886-2-2291-3611, submitting your requirements via our online quote form, or contacting us through our official LINE account. After we receive your request, we typically provide a quote within 1–2 business days. Once specifications and quantities are confirmed, production begins. For first-time orders, we recommend sampling to confirm details before mass production. See the full customization process.

Custom vs Stock

Do you sell ready-made stock cartons?

We primarily focus on made-to-order customization and do not offer retail stock cartons. Our strength is tailoring cartons to your product size and brand needs, with flexible options from materials to printing.

Materials & Flute Types – A/B/C/E Flute Differences

Flute selection directly impacts protection performance and cost efficiency. Many customers are unsure which flute type best fits their product. Below are clear explanations of the most frequently asked questions about materials and flute types.

A/B/C/E flute comparison

The main differences are thickness and performance. A flute is about 5 mm and offers excellent cushioning—ideal for fragile items and high-protection packaging. B flute is about 3 mm with a flatter surface, suitable for higher-quality printing and display boxes. C flute is about 4 mm and is the most widely used balanced option, offering strength with cost efficiency. E flute is about 1.5 mm, slim and refined—great for lightweight items or gift boxes. Consider product weight, shipping distance, and display needs when selecting.

How to choose a flute type

Choose based on product needs: fragile items (glass, ceramics) often fit A flute; premium full-color printing (gift boxes, display packaging) fits B or E flute; general shipping cartons commonly use C flute for a balance of cost and strength. For products over 10 kg, consider double-wall board for higher stacking strength. If you’re unsure, contact us for material recommendations.

When to use double-wall board

Double-wall corrugated board combines two fluted mediums with three linerboards, suitable for products around 10–30 kg such as machinery parts, appliances, and heavy electronics. Common specs include AB flute (about 8 mm) or BC flute (about 7 mm), offering excellent compression strength and stackability—ideal for long-distance shipping or warehouse stacking. Sizing & Structure Design – How to Measure and Choose

Accurate sizing and the right box structure help protect your products and improve packing efficiency. For first-time customization, sizing and structure choices can be confusing—here are detailed answers to the most common questions.

Carton structure types and sizing guide for custom packaging

How do I measure carton size correctly?

Carton size is typically expressed as L × W × H in centimeters (cm), referring to the internal dimensions. Measure your product’s maximum length, width, and height, then add 1–2 cm to each side to allow easy packing. If you use protective materials like bubble wrap or foam, add extra space for the cushioning thickness. A physical packing test is recommended to confirm fit.

What carton structures are common?

Common structures include: standard regular slotted cartons for shipping; tuck-bottom boxes for lightweight products; two-piece lid-and-base boxes for gifts; window boxes for retail display; and handle boxes for carry needs. We can recommend the most suitable structure based on your usage scenario.

Recommendations for size and structure

The right structure can reduce packaging costs. High-volume shipping often fits a simple structure to reduce assembly time; branded gifts may benefit from premium lid-and-base or magnetic closures to elevate the unboxing experience; e-commerce shipping can use easy-to-pack structures for faster fulfillment.

Can you make special-shaped cartons?

Yes. In addition to standard rectangular cartons, we can produce hexagonal, triangular, custom display structures, and modular packaging. Special shapes require a die-cut mold. Our design team will provide a structural drawing for confirmation before sampling and mass production. Explore our customization service options.

Printing & Design – From Logo to Full-Color Printing

Printing strengthens brand recognition and can affect shelf appeal. From cost-effective single-color logo printing to premium full-color CMYK, we provide a wide range of printing and design solutions. Below are answers to the most common printing and design questions.

Can I print only a logo? What’s the minimum number of colors?

Yes. We offer single-color, two-color, and full-color (CMYK) printing. Single-color logo printing is the most economical and works well for industrial shipping cartons. Two-color printing increases brand recognition and is popular for SMEs. Full-color CMYK can present detailed graphics and product photos, ideal for retail display packaging. We also provide finishing options such as UV coating and foil stamping to enhance premium appearance.

Do you provide design services? Do I need to prepare artwork?

Yes. If you already have artwork, please provide vector files such as AI, PDF, or CDR. Our prepress team will check files and adjust colors as needed. If you don’t have artwork yet, our design team can help you create packaging layouts from scratch—logo placement, color palette, graphics, and typography. Do you provide sampling? How is it priced?

We provide sampling support (material costs may apply). Sampling usually takes 3–5 business days so you can confirm size, structure, and printing results. Once the sample meets your requirements, we proceed to mass production to help ensure the final product matches expectations.

Pricing & Quotes – Key Factors That Drive Cost

Pricing is one of the most common concerns for custom cartons. Understanding the key variables helps you plan packaging budgets more accurately and find the most cost-effective solution. Below is a transparent breakdown of the factors that affect pricing.

Custom carton pricing analysis

Pricing

How is custom carton pricing calculated?

Pricing is mainly affected by: ① quantity (higher quantities reduce unit cost) ② size (larger cartons use more material) ③ flute/material (double-wall costs more than single-wall) ④ printing (full color costs more than single color) ⑤ finishing (UV coating, foil stamping, etc.) ⑥ structural complexity (window boxes, handle boxes, and special structures may require a custom die). Use our online quote to receive an accurate price based on your specifications.

Volume

Does a higher quantity reduce the price?

Yes. Cartons benefit from economies of scale, so higher quantities generally lower the unit price. As a reference, orders above 500 pieces may be around 20–30% lower than MOQ-level pricing, and 1,000+ pieces can be even more competitive. Exact pricing depends on specifications. We also offer partner plans for stable long-term orders.
